Mercedes has directed episodic series for different studios such as MGM, Facebook Watch/ Indigenous Media (“Five Points” Season 2), Snapchat (“Save Me”), New Form/ Eko (“Virtual Morality”), Fullscreen (“FANtasies”), and Project Greenlight/ Adaptive (“Chatterbox”).

Her narrative music videos have gained attention worldwide. “Happier” (Bastille and Marshmello) was nominated in 2019 for a VMA, was #1 on Youtube the day of its release and currently has more than 800 million views. She was also a director on “Forbidden”, Todrick Hall's feature-length visual album, among dozens of other music videos with various artists (CHVRCHES, Marshmello, Slushii, SayGrace, etc.).

Mercedes has created commercials for brands such as Walmart, Clorox, Unilever/ Degree, Disney, Solo, Amazon, Red Bull, Apple Music, Beats, Google, Fujifilm, and many more.

Always trying to push the boundaries of narrative, Mercedes has a specialty in interactive content and won the Caucus Award for “Best New Media” in 2015 for weaving together coding and filmmaking. Mercedes also has experience directing VR content for JAUNT VR. 

​

She shadowed Sam Catlin (Breaking Bad) and Michael Slovis (Game of Thrones) on Sony/ AMC's "Preacher" on its season 3 finale episode.

 

​Mercedes' script, "B1", made Tracking Board/ Launch Pad’s 2017 Hit List, as well as winning runner up at the 2018 Script Pipeline Competition and BET's Project Create. Her script, "ESC" was a 2022 Nichols Finalist.

​

She is a mixed Latinx Los Angeles based filmmaker with a BA in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
